His books, published in a dozen languages, include the television-based anthology Hollywood People and best-selling biographies of Madonna, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dudley Moore, Nicolas Cage, Sharon Stone, John Travolta, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

With Christine Keeler he wrote her revelations 'The Truth At Last', which resulted in another instant top ten best-seller, and was the consultant on a linked ratings winning television documentary on the Profumo Affair.

His 2003 revised Madonna biography went straight into the Top Ten list of the London 'Times'. Another recent success was his collaboration with eminent psychotherapist Pauline Sutcliffe to tell the poignant story of her brother Stuart Sutcliffe who named and helped found the Beatles with John Lennon. 'The Beatles' Shadow' has established a cult following and was voted one of 2003's top ten music related books.

He worked with Christine Hamilton on her memoirs published in March, 2005. He collaborated with Robson Green and Stephen Tompkinson for a book on their television series 'Grafters' and with Paul Nicholas on his autobiography 'Behind the Smile'.

Douglas Thompson biography of Chelsea and England soccer star Frank Lampard went on sale in May, 2005.

In June, 2005, his biography 'Billion Dollar Man', a birthday tribute to Clint Eastwood, 75 on May 31,2005, was published.

Douglas Thompson has recently completed a three year collaboration with Michael Flatley telling the fabulous and fascinating story of the billion dollar dancer who created 'Riverdance' and 'Lord of the Dance.'

All his books have been serialised worldwide in newspapers and magazines like America's 'Vanity Fair.'
